A few days ago I receive an email invitation to join a new social networking community called RVBUG. I don't own an RV so I haven't joined yet but I think it's really neat to have an RV social network exists. Now, if and when I decide to go on a little RVing trip, I feel I can get a more in depth look at what I can REALLY expect on my little adventure.
RVBUG is absolutely free to join and it only takes a few minutes to create your own profile. Once you web space is created, you cam decide if you want to share it with friends and family only or share it with the entire community.
Members can share their RV experiences on the Web and meet other RVers, share photos and videos of their RV travels and experiences with other fellow RVers.
Members of RVBUG can post blogs, participate in RV forums or join discussion groups with RVers who have the same specific RV interests as you. They can find RV events, start their own RV journal and share it with their friends.
RVBUG has less than 1000 members but I expect to see this social networking community to continue to grow once Rv owners learn about its existence.

My Social Networking Update
Shareapic isn't a social network but over the past couple of months I have been using the photo albums I created in a number of social networking communities I belong to. In mid December I shared my current earning stats. My earnings were a little over $16.00. Two weeks later, I am a few pennies shy of $18.00. It may not seem like much but considering the fact I was NOT making any money for sharing photographs and dropping comments and now I am. It works for me! I only wished I would have thought of it earlier. My goal is to continue to add Shareapic albums to all my social networking communities.
Lazzeo was experiencing a lot of technical issues in the month of December. It seems to be good to go now though. Bizpreneur.com is still dead in the water. The site has been down for close to two months. No idea if it will ever return.
Adlandpro has a social networking community. I joined a long time ago and found the experience very confusing. I decided to give it another shot and subscribed to the tutorial series. I still haven't finished reading it yet.
That's about it. Now that the holidays are behind me, I am hoping to get busy with my social networking projects.

I'm Making A List, Checking it Twice

I'm going to find out who's naughty or nice. Well, actually good or bad! Money making or not! Worth while or a waste a time! Fun or not so much! It's almost the end of the year and my list of social networks has continued to grow steadily over the past two months. I figured now was the best time to start cleaning up and start the new year with a fresh list.
Lazzeo has always been on of the social networks I visited on a daily basis but they are having technical issues. So is there sister site Bizpreneur. I hope the issues are resolved and I can continue to earn with Google AdSense there.
My next stop was YouSayToo. Over the past month I have been trying to work my way up the points ladder because of a contest currently being sponsored on the website.
I believe my original position was somewhere over 100th place. I'm now in position 30. The only way I can foresee myself getting any closer to the any top faster is by referring new members.
There's three main reasons I would recommend You Say too. The first is blog exposure. You can RSS feed all your blogs onto your profile page. You are required to set up a back link on your side bar. There are instructions for adding your FaceBook or Live Journal blog. The instructions for adding your Myspace blog are coming soon.
The second reason is the opportunity to participate in the Google AdSense revenue sharing program. Yousaytoo splits the Google Adsense revenue with its users 50/50.
The third reason is the option of adding Amazon to your profile too! If you have no interest of earning with Google AdSense or Amazon, there is also an option to donate your earnings to charity.
It's very simple and easy to set up these options on your profile. Below is a screen shot of the edit profile page. All you need to do is add your Google Adsense publisher id and your amazon id. Click save settings and your done.
YouSayToo has been my latest social networking project since I am a huge fan any social networking with money making opportunities. I plan on sharing more information about the perks and earning statistics once I have learned my way around a little bit more. I am curious to see what works and doesn't work. I'm currently in the process of answering some buzz questions and joining some of the buzz groups. I will probably stayed logged in to YouSayToo for awhile there today.
Another place I visited today is the People's Choice Awards Network. No earning potential there but I find the buzz polls pretty entertaining. Besides, I like to see what celebrities, movies, television shows, etc people are choosing as their favorites. Silly me, I was selecting my choices but...since I didn't press cast my vote, it did NOT register. LOL

Really Funny Video about Social Netowrking!
I ran across this video the other day and I got a huge laugh. It reminds me of my own social networking dilemma and trying to keep track of where I am a member. Yes, sometimes, I feel burnt out and take a break from the virtual world for a few days.
So the question is.......does this video ring any bells for you? Hope you enjoyed it.

Social Networks for Cat Owners

My kids really really love cats. I just like them. I guess if my girls would take care of their cats and not expect me to do all the dirty work, I would love them too! It just seems to be the issue in my house. Cats aren't the only pets in our home. We have a dog, 4 cats, 2 lovebirds, 1 finch, 1 turtle, 1 aquarium full of fish, and 5 hamsters in their individual cages. Oh yeah, and we have a rabbit too!
I'm complaining but in actuality, I love all my pets. I just wish my kids would help out a little more with the basic care. They do give all our pets plenty of love but they don't like cleaning up after them. They save that part for me! Aren't they special?
Here's a list of some cool places to hang out online and share your kitty tales! There's a few social networks, forums and dating sites for cat lovers and owners. It's just a short list and I am pretty certain there are way more than I am including here. If you know of a cat haven online, be sure to leave a comment and the link to the cat place!
United Cats
Fuzzster
Persian Cats
Cat Hobbyist
Catster
Pif Tails
Kitty Cat
Feline Fanatics
We Love Kittens
Cat Club
My Cat Space
cat-E-corner
Cat Channel
Meowmail
Kitty Happy
PURRsonals
Cats.com
Cat Lovers Network
Single Cat Lovers
Cat Lovers Dating
Cat Lovers Only
Cat Forum
The Cat Site
Cat KB
I Love Cats Forums
The Daily Kitten
Chat About Cats
Twitchin' Kitten
Feline Express
Cute Little Kittens
Cat Blogosphere
So to all you cat lovers out there looking for a place online to hang out and make new friends. Of course there are also places online for all kinds of pet owners to congregate and share their pets and pet stories. If you want to network in a community for all kinds of pet owners and not just cat owners, you can find a ton of pet communities online, perhaps a new project for me another day, but not today.

Today has Been a Lazy Day for me in the World of Social Networking
Today has been one of those days when other projects have kept me busy from my normal social networking routine. I spent the better part of my day dropping cards on entrecard today. It's has been quite sometime since I actually dropped 300 cards. I am happy to report today was one of those mission accomplished days as far as dropping entrecards. I missed reading all the blogs, it's been too long!
Now, I am quite distracted from getting any thing else accomplished because I just joined yet another social network. But, as a women, it was completely irresistible! It's a place to share product reviews, but not just any product! We're talking Total Beauty
products! The things that keep women looking great! I have been reading some of the reviews for products I have wanted to try but either they were too expensive or I wasn't convinced they would work as promised.
I just submitted a review for Garnier Shampoo and was happy to learn I was automatically entered into a chance to win an all-inclusive spa trip to the serene Ceiba del Mar Beach & Spa Resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Now, that's what I am talking about!

Social Networking and Dating Sites for Gothic People
Until I decided to post these gothic social networks today, I was completely oblivious to what it meant to be "gothic" and even after I spent a few hours surfing the web to get a better understanding, I am still completely clueless. It seems there is no clear definition of what is to be "goth" only what is not considered "goth". Today, I was reading through the many definitions of "goth" in the Urban dictionary and I have a better understanding other than my incorrect belief of goths being people who wore black and kept to themselves. Well apparently, that isn't true because I found quite a few places online today for goths to meet and mingle with other goths.

My Tweaking Plan for Revenue Sharing Social Networks Starting with Lazzeo
Over the last couple of months I have been using my social networking profile pages to promote my affiliate programs and my blogs. I have always viewed my profile page as an absolutely free and permanent piece of advertising space on the internet. It works well, I do manage to get some visitors to my blogs and people signing up in my affiliate programs. My problem is my earnings in the Google AdSense revenue sharing social networks have really diminished lately with the exception of one, Dada. What's interesting about Dada is even with out logging in on a daily basis, I still earn daily with Google AdSense. Guaranteed, the Dada social network has a lot of members but it also has a lot of content. My Dada profile made me realize I was ignoring the earning potential on my other Google AdSense revenue sharing programs. Here's a few profiles of some of my friends in the Lazzeo business social networking community. If you can spare a minute, please visit their profiles. Please pay close attention to the Google ads and the content appearing on their profile page.
In most of the profiles above, you will notice the majority of Google ads appearing are basically all the same. Most of ads appearing are for other social networks or dating services. What I found interesting is WiseWilliam's tag line appearing above his photo, it simply says "I'm Building A Website To Sell Nursing Scrubs, Medical Scrubs, Medical Uniforms, College Scrubs, NFL Scrubs,". Interesting because this one tag line changed his google ads into something other than social networking and dating sites. CatAnna has done something very interesting with her profile. Not only has she added some content to the various sections on her profile page, but she also added some links within her content sending people to her other websites. What I am sure you noticed is the huge amount of banners present on most of these profiles and very limited content, just like mine was and still is kind of.
Step 1 - Create a new tag line. The tag line should represent you or your interests. Choosing the right words can have a definite effect on the ads appearing on your profile page. Experiment and find the best tag line for.
My status -Already completed but I may change it.
Step 2 - Eliminate a large portion of the banners currently appearing on most of the sections of my profile page and replace it with a few paragraphs. Make it a point to add some referral links within the content.
My status- Almost completed, still have a few more sections to change. I'm really not sure if I am going to eliminate all my banners. I will definitely be experimenting and see what happens.
Step 3 - Sign up to AdBrite, set up an ad to run on my profile page.
There are currently four spots to embed your sponsored ads. However, according to Google's TOS (terms of service) you can only run 3 Google ads on any website. Some other options you have for the fourth ad spot would be any banner from an affiliate program, a google referral ad, or an ad from another network. I decided to use AdBrite in my fourth ad space. I also chose the full page ad option.
My status- completed this step.
Step 4 - Post a bulletin or a blog at least once a week.
My status - have not completed.
Step 5 - Make it a point to visit a least 10 profiles a day and leave a comment. This shouldn't require too much time.
My status - haven't left any comments on St. Patrick's Day but I will be dropping comments all this week to get some Lazzeo volunteers to help with this experiment and get some feed back.
Step 6 - Create a Lazzeo Tweak Group - the purpose is to involve other members, ask them to participate and share their ideas and opinions as well as their personal results.
This plan is only a theory at this point in time. There is absolutely no guarantee my earnings will increase by implementing the steps I listed above. I am basing my hopes of earning more on the simple fact that everything I have read states "content is king". If that's the case, then increasing the amount of content on my website instead of the number of banners, my chances of getting better quality ads should increase too or not!
This is phase one, getting my idea out there and putting the wheels in motion. Now, I'm off to finish tweaking my profile page at Lazzeo, create my group and find myself some volunteers.

Social Networks for Weight Loss and Healthy Living

A few weeks ago I posted an article about Spark People, this week I am going to share some other social networks online designed to help people who are trying to live healthier or lose weight. So for all you people out there looking for moral support, an exercise buddy, a place to keep track of your success, diet plans, nutritional information or success tips, check out the social networks where you can make it happen. But first I want to share an article I recently read.
If you are happy with your weight, you belong to the minority of people in the world, but should be applauded for your positive outlook on your life and your body. However, weight loss still may be needed. Many people who are overweight say that they are happy with their bodies. The fact is weight loss is necessary in order to achieve a healthy weight. It is very important. There are a number of reasons you should consider weight loss, even if you don’t mind having a few extra pounds.
First and foremost, if you are overweight, you are at risk for a number of diseases. The main health risk you will probably experience is heart disease, which can lead to a heart attack. Many heart attacks are deadly. Heart disease develops when you heart has to work extra hard to pump the blood to the body, which causes it to become fatigued. This can occur simply because you are overweight, or can be a result of high blood pressure or high cholesterol.
Along with heart disease, having high blood pressure and high cholesterol levels can also put you at risk for a stroke. Strokes occur when blood, and therefore oxygen, cannot reach the brain. This can happen due to high cholesterol. When you have high cholesterol, the fatty deposits build up on your artery walls. If a piece of this plaque breaks off and travels to the heart, it causes a heart attack, and traveling to the brain causes a stroke.
Being overweight is also bad for women who wish to become pregnant. When you’re overweight, the hormones in your body are changing, and if you don’t get the right nutrients you may find that your body does not produce the right chemicals for the hormones needed to ovulate or carry a child. Even if you become pregnant, being overweight puts you at risk for a miscarriage or health problems with the baby.

Beyond the health world, being overweight can also affect your daily life. You may find it difficult to purchase clothing in your size or you may find that the clothing that does come in larger sizes is more expensive. This is simply due to the manufacturer need more material to make the same article of clothing. Problems extend beyond shopping when doing things like visiting theme parks, where you may not be able to ride all of the rides, or using public transportation, where you may feel crowded in seats made for smaller people. Losing weight, even if you are currently happy with your own weight, is always a healthy and smart option, until you reach a normal weight.
Now for the social networks I have discovered online.
Daily Strength has plenty to offer. This online community is packed full of all kinds of support groups to help you make it through the many challenges or obstacles you face in life. There are all kinds of support groups for dieting, weight loss, parenting, cancer, diabetics, depression, bipolar, divorce and so many more.
Weight Loss Buddy prides itself on finding you the best possible match to the person who can help you lose the weight. Two different memberships are available, free and a premium.
Traineo is a free and simple social networking website that gives you the motivation and support you need to reach your weight loss and fitness goals. You can listen to for Traineo Fit Talk, browse the fitness articles in the library or participate in the forums.
WeighIns.com is another free social networking community. Some of the features it offers it's members are a calorie counter, diet journal, personalized diet charts, message boards, personal homepage, weight loss challenges, a place to set and track goals and healthy recipes.
DietTv.com is totally free to join. At Diet Television you can read all the objective diet reviews, use all the innovative weight-loss tracking tools, develop meal plans, customize an exercise program and link up with other members.

Social Networks for Anime, Manga and Cosplay Fans
My kids are excited because they will be attending the Megacon convention this weekend in Orlando, Florida. Because they love anime, manga and cosplay so much, I have been exposed to my fair share of anime. I used to record the episodes of Pokemon, Sailor Moon and DragonBallZ for them while they were at school. I remember taking them to see Pokemon in the movie theaters and all the Pokemon card tournaments. But now, they are older and I'm less hip about their world.
My oldest daughter is a huge cosplay fan. She has designed and made a lot of her own costumes for the conventions. I feel kind of bad because I'm not much of a seamstress and haven't been able to really help her but she does a really good job. She must get it from her grandmothers. Both of them are really great seamstresses.
Well, I can't seem to get my daughter interested in any other social network. She's all about MySpace. In her eyes, every other social network on the internet is unworthy of her presence. So I decided to try a different approach and taunt her with some anime, manga and cosplay social networks. Maybe, just maybe!
I didn't have much success locating very many social networks for cosplay fans. I did find a few though. Cosspace is one of the social networks I found for cosplay fans. It's very similar to any other social network. Members can create their own profile, upload photos and videos, blog, rate photos, take polls and quizzes, list events, post classifieds, and browse other member's profile. The major difference in Cossplay is the members are all into cosplay.
My youngest son is a Naruto fan, he was very happy when I sent him a link for Naruto Buzz. It's a social network for Naruto fans. On a different note, he will have the opportunity to get his picture taken with Naruto at the Megacon convention this year. There's a special deal being offered on Narutofest.com. for anyone attending the convention. I'm not sure if my son wants his picture taken or not. He's a little camera shy.
My oldest son enjoyed the link I sent him for the Warcraft Social Network. He's more to playing WOW, then all the anime he used to be. He hasn't really given me his opinion yet but he did sign up and has made some friends there. My other teenage daughter is a manga fan. I haven't found a manga specific social network, other than one social network on Ning called Manga Shakesphere. I will have to dig a little deeper to find a manga network for her.
I have been tinkering around with Hubpages lately because it's another revenue sharing network. Besides meeting other hubbers, it's a little bit easier for me to do my social networking lists and posts there. Plus, I can add some Amazon and ebay revenue blocks instead of trying to figure out how to add them to a post or crowd my sidebar space here.See what I mean? It's a work in progress, please feel free to share your favorite social network.

Social Networks for NASCAR Fans

It's really difficult as an Orlando resident to be oblivious to the start of the NASCAR race season. After all, most people attending the races in Daytona Beach, Florida wind up in Orlando too! Orlando pretty much gets swamped with NASCAR fans leaving the races to visit Disney, Sea World or Universal Studios.
So, now that NASCAR is embedded in my brain, I thought I would share some really cool social networks for NASCAR Fans. Sure, you may find groups in the larger social networks but now you can enjoy social networks created specifically for the NASCAR Fan.
What all these social networks have in common is their dedication to provide you with access to a ton of NASCAR news, information, discounts and sometimes perks. Just like any other social network you can design your profile, share photos, shares videos, blog, chat, visit the forums and have meet new people.
Here's a list of some of the social networks I have found dedicated to the NASCAR Race fans. Please feel free to share your favorite NASCAR community if I haven't already listed it.
I know everyone isn't a fan of social networks so I wanted to share a few Nascar forums too. NASCAR Forums on JRB Sport, NASCAR Space,GoTeamsGo-NASCAR, and NFP-NASCAR Frontpage.

Just Found Another Revenue Sharing Social Network GIZter

I had a busy weekend and spent the past two days playing catch up with my online endeavors. My plans for today include trying to learn my way around Gizter. It's one of the most recent social networks I joined over the past week.
I had a good laugh when I signed in this morning. I had uploaded my picture during the sign-up process but for some reason I was listed as an 18 year old man. I don't recall having those options available during the sign-up process.
Gizter is a social network for people who are into gadgets and gizmos. It's also an opportunity for you to network yourself and for you to make some money!
I have been reading through this site this morning to learn about how I would make money on Gitzer and most importantly how I would get paid.
Your earnings on Gizter are based on Google ads clicks and Google ad impressions. They clearly state you should NOT click on your own ads or randomly click the ads of any other member just for the sake of clicking.
You will receive a share of ALL the revenue generated by the site. Ad-revenue from clicks and impressions from all user pages are combined and allocated to the members based on Profile Views, Page Views, Activity Ranking and Members This Month (new members brought in for the month).
You have the potential of earning even more by referring others. GIZter uses a 2-tier Affinity Program based on your Network and Extended Network. Here's an example how the system works on Gizter.
What this means is you will be earning on three levels. You would be considered level one . Anyone you personally refer would be considered level two. The members they personally recruit would be considered level three.
Pretty cool since most social networks don't have this kind of earning system in place. Well other than Yuwie which pays on ten levels.
To get paid you have three options. You can request a check, transfer your money to a SecondLife account of transfer your money to your SmartMoney account.
You should check it out. It's a unique opportunity to have fun and then get paid! You can upload videos, uploads videos or create a blog. You can also post bulletins, create groups, take poll and take quizzes. There's plenty to do on GIZter!

Making Money with Social Networking
Social Networking is becoming one the most enjoyable and easiest ways to make money online. Social networking communities are being created at an alarming rate. Even better news is some come with awesome money making opportunities for their members.
Here are a few of the ways members are earning money with social networks.
Google Adsense
If you have a Google Adsense account, you can earn a share of the revenue generated from the ads on your profile page. Your share of the earnings will be listed in the social network's terms of service. Most range from 50%-100%.
AD Networks
Although Google Adsense seems to be the most popular ad revenue sharing program with most social networks, you can find some which allow you the option of using another ad network such as Yahoo, Bidvertiser etc.
Referral Rewards
It's not uncommon to find social networks paying you to recruit new members into the social network. Some are paying $1.00 per referral.
Activity Points
Some social networks reward your participation in the community with points. In most cases the points can be traded in for cash.
Cold Hard Cash
Yes, you can earn money simply for participating in the community. Don't expect to make millions over night. What you can expect is to earn some extra cash for socializing online. Most people I know are already doing this but unfortunately for FREE.
Like I tell everybody I know, Myspace rocks but it doesn't pay! Look around and see how to make money online with social networking.

Yuwie Pays You To Be Active!

Imagine being paid the amount of page views for surfing pages in a social networking community. Yuwie does! Not only does Yuwie pay you for the pages you view, you will get paid for the page views performed by members in your downline ten levels deep.
There is definitely money to be made. Let me explain what Yuwie considers to be a valid page view. You can find this information in your Yuwie help section as well as the answers to many other frequently asked questions.
Question / Issue
What actually counts as a paid page view?
Answer / Solution
When anyone views any of these pages, it counts as 1 page view for you:
1. your profile page
2. your blog pages
3. view all your friends
4. view all your comments
5. your picture pages
6. if someone views one of your shared layouts
When you view any of these pages, it counts as 1 page view.
1. any of your control panel pages, including but not limited to: settings, messaging, friends, referrals, favorites, etc.
The following does not count as a page view:
1. Refreshing/reloading a page
2. Any page that's viewed within 3 seconds of the last page doesn't count
If you ask me, this seems like an awesome opportunity to earn some extra income every month. If you are like me, it's a piece of cake. I may not comment a lot on people's profile pages but I do enjoy checking out their pages.
Joining Yuwie is completely FREE, you have absolutely nothing to lose!

Some Of My Social Networking Pitstops Today
First thing I do on an average day is check my email. Most of the social networking communities I am a member of will send me a notification of any activity on my account.
So, now my day begins.
Just opened an email from Vox. My daughter invited me to this community way back in May 2007. After looking at my page this morning it seems like I signed up, added a little bit of information and never went back again. That is until today.
My profile page was the ugly white default page. Ewwwwwwwwwww!!!! Today I took the time to change the template, imported some feeds from this blog to my profile page on Vox and added a few links as well. I still have to create some collections and fill out the about me section.
I took a few minutes to browse the community. I noticed their were very few members who even took the time to add an avatar to their profile. It leads me to believe this is not a very active social networking community. It is just an assumption but either way it's a great way to express yourself or advertise your business interests.
Next stop...BUMPzee
It seems somebody was nice enough to add me to their friends list on BUMPzee. BUMPzee is a blogger social networking community. It's a great place to mingle with other bloggers and see what other bloggers are blogging about. A neat feature at Bumpzee is adding the BUMP feature to your posts. If you enjoyed someone's post you bump it. This is a great way to generate some traffic to your blog.
I like checking in to see who has added me and visit their blog. Yet, another reason why my list of things to do never gets finished. I always run across a great blog and it leads me to another. I love reading blogs! I like seeing what people do with their blogs. I haven't been blogging to long, so I find myself asking "How did they do that?" Of course my inquiring mind wanders off task again....It's all about the need to know.
The Bumpzee widget is pretty cool too! You can set it up in a number of ways and your stats are visible to you from your blog.
Next stop Adlandpro Community
I happened across Adlandpro because I was interested in placing free classified ads. Adlandpro has a number of awesome features on their site. You have the advertising, the networking, auto responders, emails and so much more. I personally find myself getting lost in Adlandpro. I thought it was just me but I have ran across a few others who feel the same way I do.
My confusion stems from my lack of experience in some of the features offered by Adlandpro. I am not a big fan of reading directions to learn how something works. I think I should definitely make an exception and take the time to use the tutorials on Adlandpro. I am certain I am missing out on a lot of awesome tools.
I need to take a break and check up on some of my Marketing Pond programs. Will be back later to share some of my other social networking pit stops I make today.

Friendswin Cutting Edge Technology

When I was invited to join Friendswin I jumped at the opportunity. This site promises to be the wave of the future. I am looking forward to using the tools Friendswin will have available to network my business interests and make new friends.
Right now you can join as an INDEPENDENT MARKETING REP (IMR) for Friendswin.com! All you have to do is market Friendswin Video Enabled Social Network and its awesome functionality to new Subscribers. It's cutting edge, with video dating, video conferencing, video resumes all coming soon, and with the best social networking functions in the business! And until 12/31/2007, it's free to become an IMR! (It's normally $49.95 for Friendswin marketing support tools.)
I personally think this social networking community will be a lot of fun. I also think I have a great opportunity to earn some cash because I leaped on board! As I mentioned quite a few times my favorite social networking communities are the ones which give me the opportunity to earn money. It's even better when the memberships are FREE.
